At Stephens, Baroni, Reilly & Lewis providing our clients with the highest level of personal service has been our commitment for over 50 years.
We are a general practice firm with an emphasis on criminal law, municipal law including SEQR and tax certiorari, litigation including trial and appellate practice in federal and New York state courts, and matrimonial and family law. The firm also engages in planning and zoning law, real estate, corporate law, and trusts and estate planning.
SBR&L was established in 1972 on the foundation that it would provide exceptional, individualized legal services to our clients. As a small firm, we are able to provide close personal attention to our client’s legal needs and your matter is handled directly by a partner. This underlying principle has been the basis of our success and is largely responsible for the excellent reputation we enjoy in the legal community. The firm maintains an “AV” rating, the highest rating a law firm can receive.
Each of the firm’s partners are admitted in New York State and Federal courts and the firm maintains membership in various professional associations including the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York State Planning Federation, the Municipal Law Resource Center, the New York State Defenders Association, the New York Criminal Bar Association, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
The firm has often drawn on members of the judiciary for its counsel. These have included the late Hon. Richard Levett, the late Hon. P. Raymond Sirignano, and the late Hon. James R. Caruso.
Our client base includes many long-standing clients some of whom have been with us for decades and is comprised of a wide variety of individuals, private enterprise and the public sector, and includes municipalities, cooperatives, condominiums, transportation companies, insurance companies, colleges, banks, hospitals, food importers, tire and machinery manufacturers and distributors, real estate developers, professional engineering and architectural firms, commercial contractors, physicians, lawyers and marketing specialists.
